My Favourite Nude Liquid Lipsticks - Swatches

My search for the perfect nude never ends. I am always trying lines that come out with new nudes or old ones that I have never heard of. You never know, it could become holy grail status. Simply put, I'm obsessed. I love a liquid lipstick - no hassle just put it on and go. No worries about having to reapply so often. I have changed so much. Believe it or not, I never used to wear lipstick at all. It made me feel not like myself and I never felt truly comfortable. But now I love lipstick - especially a nude. So I thought why not share some of the great ones, I have come across. Just to be clear as always I purchased all these products myself.  So all the swatches are below, I also included some of my thoughts. In terms of lasting power, smudge proof, formula, etc. If you are curious, here are some of my foundation matches: NC45 MAC, MUFE Y445, MJ 82 Cocoa light, Hourglass vanish foundation stick - Golden Amber (MY NEW LOVE - its literally like its not there - just check out my recent favorites video on youtube it includes a demo - check my previous post).  I hope this will help someone who is looking for a great nude. Or just show you if you are not someone who prefers to wear lipstick what a difference a nude can make. Thanks for checking out my page as usual and always. Take care. Have an awesome one.

TIME FOR SWATCHES! - top to bottom: Baremineral Swank, Juju, Jeffree Star - Androgyny, Kat Von D - Lolita

So the NEW Gen Nude collection by Bareminerals just came out. I love the color selection - there are 20 shades that specially nude for basically any skin tone. Check it out they came out with more than just liquid lipsticks. Anyways so the formula is great feels light weight, barely there with a moussey texture - my only dislike is that it is not completely smudge proof. Some of the product tends to stay and on the surface of the lip and never really dries. But it still has a great number of shades and is comfortable to wear and affordable. So I can't really complain. They are available online at Sephora, I am not quite sure if they are in stores just yet.

NEW Gen nude Bareminerals - Juju

So next, the oh so famous Androgyny by Jeffree Star. It took so long for me to get my hands on this. As it was always sold out. But fear not, its permanent now. So I am assuming it should become more available. I purchased mine off of Beautylish.com. They are great, free shipping to Canada with a $35 purchase is not so bad and so rare. So I love the color, it has more of a purple undertone. Quite different in my opinion from the rest. The formula reminds me of the ABH liquid lipsticks, it the sense that it is really matte and has the same consistency. Very fluid like, a little goes a long way. So if you have fine lines on your lips you prefer not show. It might not be the liquid lipstick for you. But I don't care about that, so I will definitely being using this color this fall/winter.

Jeffree Star - Androgyny
So last but not least, my all time favorite - Kat Von D - Lolita. I know you have probably heard me say this a million times. But I just love this color. It is HOLY GRAIL STATUS for me. Never disappoints. Well, it is kind of drying but what liquid lipstick isn't. Just needs some lip balm prior and it lasts so long. It just perfect for my skintone.

First, off let me be clear, I am no way affiliated with MUFE and purchased this foundation myself with my own money as always you guys know the deal. Let me start off by saying I was really excited for this foundation especially for my mom, because she swears by the MUFE liquid lift. Even more so because this foundation contains vitamin B5 and claims to be hydrating and has been said to improve skin's elasticity. And because I have heard so many good things about the original face and body. But sadly this was a disappointment for me. You will see why in the pictures below. Let me just tell you a little about my skin - it is acne prone, has a lot of hyperpigmentation and scarring from post-acne. MUFE does claim that is foundation is sheer to buildable coverage. I didn't think I got any coverage from this foundation, you all can decide. The receipts (pictures) are below - me without any makeup (scary right?) and the picture with the MUFE (#Y455 - which was not a good match for me, but we can get into that later) - but honestly, I look just as same with or without it. So I guess if you are someone who wants full or even a medium coverage this foundation isn't for you. I used 2 layers and it did nothing for me. In terms of the shade match - I used my previous shade match for MUFE HD in Y455 thinking it would be the same when I ordered this one. But it was just too dark for me. So I don't know if it was just my shade but it's not the same. So basically my recommendations - if you have next to perfect skin and just need something lightweight, hydrating this may be the match for you. There are 20 shades available which include 8 darker shades which are not so bad when you match up to other brands which have one or two. Like I always say just because this foundation didn't work for me, it may work for you. So try it! Let me know what you think.

Hey ladies and gents, here are my thoughts. First let's be clear, I purchased this palette of my own money from Sephora online for an expensive $62. It's just killing me. So, first off the palette is definitely worth the price tag, considering that a single ABH eyeshadow selling for $16 and a quad is $54 at Sephora. I was not at first really interested in getting this palette, only because the colours didn't really speak to me. Except for the warm tones of course. I love warm tones! But if I am being completely honest, I am not too sure I will be keeping this palette and here is why.
I am sorry to all you die hard ABH fans, I love her stuff too. But this didn't really do it for me - colour wise. The quality of the shadows is good, but they are so powdery. When I dip my brush into the shadows, there is a lot of fall out. That is one thing, but one thing I could definitely live with for colours that I love.

Oh before I continue, the swatches are swatched as in order of the palette (1st pic- top row, 2nd pic-bottom row). In case you were wondering.

1st Row

Now let's get into the swatches - ok so first things first, there are 3-4 shadows I won't even use (if I'm being completely honest) which decreases the value of the palette for me. They just don't compliment my skin tone or barely show up. So if you have not guessed it, they are: tempera (do I really have to say anything about this colour on my skin tone), golden ochre (sounds like such a pretty colour, so sad), vermeer (too icy), warm taupe (a little too grey, but could have potential - depends on the look). Raw Sienna and burnt orange could make good transition colours.

2nd Row
Now, the two colours I was so excited for: Venetian Red and Love Letter. Only one thing it takes a few coats to build up the colour (like 3 or 4), but when you do. It's so beautiful. Lastly, colours that I love (sorry it took so long and for all the negative comments) - Buon Fresco (shocked me after a few coats - its a really nice grey toned pale purple), Cyprus Umber (awesome, one of my faves - I have been looking for a warm toned dark brown), Red Ochre (transition colour of life), Realgar (who doesn't love an orange).

So everyone, that's all I got. Hope this helped. Check out my instagram for new products (I post there first - if you were wondering) #greeneyeambition

I was excited for this palette and I am so glad it did not disappoint.  It's prefect for everyday or on the go (travel). Just keep in mind that the shimmer/stain shades Chardonnay and Champagne toast are more like illuminators for your eye lid and brow bone. I really like that concept, because champagne toast really brightens up my eyelid. Plus they can doubt up as highlighter for your face. And honestly I have never found a brow bone highlight that doesn't look ashy on my skin, but Chardonnay definitely does not (thank you). Oh the packaging is so pretty and good quality. The matte shades are so soft, creamy and bendable and what's even better is usually being darker toned I usually buy palettes and never use a few a colours in them because they won't show up on my skin. But that is not the case here. Basically I AM IN LOVE! I love natural glam and this palette is just that. You will not be disappointed.

DUPE ALERT! Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick - Craft AND Colourpop Liquid Matte Lipstick - More Better

Check it out! Awesome dupe alert, this is perfect for anyone of you who are trying to create a specific look. Why spend $26 CAD at Sephora, when you can get the Colourpop version for $6 USD. And if I am being completely honest, the Colourpop formula is the one prefer, only because it does not dry out my lips or leave a nasty ring around the inside of my mouth (like the ABH one does). Another thing let's be totally honest, I own both and paid for them with my own money (basically because I am makeup junkie). But how many times will I actually wear this particular colour. Maybe once or twice. So I would suggest just getting the Colourpop version for those less likely to use often individuals, like me. But one thing I will say is that the ABH liquid lipstick last longer and don't separate in the container over time (like the Colourpop one's do). It's up to you all. Let me know how it goes. Hope this helps.

NEW Tartelette in bloom palette! Swatches! So glad I waited for this one.

So ladies and gents, here is my recommendation. I was skeptical thought the eyeshadows in this palette would not work for me, just look how some of them swatched. But I do not know how, but the swatches do not do these shades justice. Please don't be deceived if it looks like a lot of the shadows did not show up on my arm its because they are closer to my actually skin tone and would make a good base color (in my opinion). I think all the shadows in this palette are brown girl friendly. Not to mention so damn creamy and CRUELTY FREE PEOPLE! One down side, you got to build the  pigmentation up for many of the matte shadows. So if you are looking for a one swipe and your good shadows, I don't think you will get that with some of the matte shadows in this palette. But I didn't get any fall out. And the package is just so lovely, I love this palette for an everyday or a quick night out look. I think you can get a lot out of this palette and the its warm toned so if that is your thing (like it is mine) this is for you.
